The consortium is involved in numerous significant networks beyond the areas covered in the project. Through direct membership, RRI-Practice will activate a number of networks for dissemination in order to ensure sustained interest in the project’s activities.

There are several projects on conceptual aspects and practicalities of RRI, the output and results of which will be valuable resources for the RRI-Practice project. NewHoRRIzon (05/2017 – 04/2021)

NewHoRRIzon aims at further integrating Responsible Research and Innovation in the research and innovation systems on national and international levels.

ORION Project (05/2017 – 04/2021)

Orion will explore ways in which research and funding organizations in life sciences and biomedicine can open up the way they fund, organize and do research.

STARBIOS2 (Structural Transformation to Attain Responsible BIOSciences) (05/2016 – 04/2020)

The general aim of STARBIOS2 is to contribute to the advancement of RRI strategy through implementation of Action Plans oriented to attain RRI structural change in the field of biosciences.

PROSO (Promoting Societal Engagement in Research and Innovation) (01/2016 – 02/2018)

The major goal of the PROSO project is to provide guidance on how to encourage engagement of citizens and third sector organizations, like non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs), in Europe’s research and innovation processes.

Nucleus Project (09/2015 – 08/2019)

NUCLEUS project investigates how to make Responsible Research and Innovation a reality in universities and research institutions.

PERFORM – Participatory Engagement with Scientific and Technological Research through Performance (11/2015 – 10/2018)

PERFORM investigates the effects of the use of innovative science education methods in fostering young peoples’ motivations and engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in selected secondary schools.

FoTTRIS – Fostering a Transition Towards Responsible Research and Innovation Systems (2015 – 2018)

FoTRRIS aims to foster a transition of the existing Research & Innovation (R&I) system to a Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) system.

HEIRRI – Higher Education Institutions and Responsible Research and Innovation (09/2015 – 08/2018)

The aim of HEIRRI project is to start the integration of RRI within the formal and informal education of future scientists, engineers and other professionals involved in the R+D+i process.

CIMULACT – Citizen and Multi-Actor Consultation on Horizon 2020 (06/2015 – 05/2018)

CIMULACT engaged citizens and a variety of other actors in redefining the European Research and Innovation agenda and thereby making it relevant and accountable to society.

MoRRI – Monitoring the Evolution and Benefits of Responsible Research and Innovation (01/2014 – 03/2018)

MoRRI’s main objective is to provide scientific evidence, data, analysis and policy intelligence to support research funding activities and policy-making activities in relation with Responsible Research and Innovation.

CASI – Public Participation in Developing a Common Framework for Assessment and Management of Sustainable Innovation (01/2014 – 06/2017)

CASI investigated sustainable innovation as a societal phenomenon and enabled the elaboration of an assessment framework of sustainable innovation practices, whose application can be successfully integrated into public policy developments.

RRI Tools (01/2014 – 12/2016)

The final outcome of RRI Tools is to develop a set of digital resources to advocate, train, disseminate and implement RRI under Horizon 2020.

GREAT – Governance for Responsible Innovation (02/2013 – 02/2016)

The GREAT project will develop an empirically based and theoretically sound model of the role of responsible research and innovation governance.

RESPONSIBILITY – Global Model and Observatory for International Responsible Research and Innovation Coordination (02/2013 – 01/2016)

The goal of the RESPONSIBILITY project was to develop a virtual observatory for enhancing the interaction among research outcomes and policy making.

ResAGorA – Responsible Research and Innovation in a Distributed Anticipatory Governance Frame (02/2013 – 01/2016)

The major goal of the Res-AGorA project was to design a normative and comprehensive governance framework for Responsible Research and Innovation.

PROGRESS – Promoting Global Responsible Research and Social and Scientific Innovation (02/2013 – 01/2016)

ProGReSS promoted a European approach to Responsible Research and Innovation through a global network.

Engage2020 – Engaging Society in Horizon2020 (09/2013 – 10/2015)

The project mapped how, where and why members of the public, stakeholders, consumers and other groups are engaged in the research process, from early policy development to the delivery of research activity.
